If you like to have a beer occasionally, leave your money at home if you are going to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Empty your handbag, your money belt, and leave all cash, credit cards and chequebooks at home. Only take only the cash you intend to spend on refreshments, tipping and whatever pocket change you expect to burn and leave the remainder behind.

Contemptuous? Not really. Just realistic. You can experience a win after a boozy evening out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to hit a long toss at a hot craps game. Keep that story because it’s as brief as it gets if you consistently drink and gamble. These activities just don’t mix.

Leaving your cash out of the casino might be a bit dramatic, but defensive measures for dramatic actions is a requirement. If you bet to win, then do not drink alcohol and play. If you like to toss away your cash nary a worry, then drink all the free alcohol your stomach are able to handle, but don’t carry credit cards and cheques to toss into the mix of going after losses after your dead drunk head squanders all the cash!

Allow me to carry this a single step further. Don’t consume alcohol and then go on to the internet to bet in your best-liked casino either. I love to beverage from the coziness of my home, but since I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards in close proximity, I can not drink alcohol and wager.

Why? Even though I do not drink alcohol a lot, when I consume alcohol, it is certainly enough to blur my common sense. I gamble, so I don’t consume alcohol when betting. If you are a drinker, do not gamble when you do. Both create an awful, and costly, drink.
