Iowa Casinos

There are a few casinos located in the commonwealth, the biggest number being on immobilized scows. The grandest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an American Indian gambling den in Tama, with 127,669 square feet of gaming area, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, such as 21, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and many varieties of poker; also three restaurants, biweekly shows, and betting advice. Another big Native American gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and fourteen table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are many other dominant Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.

A smaller Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend paddle wheel boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa water based casino, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot paddle wheel boat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday blackjack matches.

Iowa casinos present an exceptional amount of tax revenue to the government of Iowa, which has allowed the bankrolling of a good many commonwealth wide activities. Vacationers have gotten bigger at an accelerated rate along with the demand for companies and a gain in jobs. Iowa gambling dens have been helpful to the expansion of the market, and the excitement for wagering in Iowa is across the board.
