An Internet Wagering Dictionary

Despite the fact that internet gambling is now a multi-billion dollar industry, and countless thousands of new bettors world-wide log on every day to bet at internet casinos, there are still millions of newcomers to the environment of web gambling who do not as yet have a good understanding of much of the dialect used in internet wagering, and gambling on athletics in general. However, knowledge of these ideas is essential to interpreting the games and rules of gaming:

ACTION: Any type of wager.

ALL-IN: In poker, all-in alludes to a player has risked all of his money into the pot. A second pot is set up for the players with remaining chips.

BUST: You don’t win; As in vingt-et-un, when a gambler’s cards exceed a value over twenty-one.

BUY-IN: The minimal amount of funds required to appear in a match or tournament.

CALL: As in poker, when a bet is the same as a prior made bet.

CHECK: In poker, to stay in the match and not betting. This is acceptable only if no other players wager in that round.

CLOSING A BET: As in spread betting, meaning to lay a wager equal to but converse of the first bet.

COLUMN BET: To wager on one or more of the 3 columns of a roulette table.

COME BET: In craps, close to a pass-line wager, but made after the player has achieved their point.

COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters initial toss to achieve a point, or the initial roll after a point has been ascertained.

COVERALL: A bingo term, meaning to fill all the squares on a bingo card.

CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to toss a two, three or 12 is an automatic defeat on the come-out roll.

DAILY DOUBLE: To pick the winners of the 1st 2 events of the night.

DOWN BET: To wager that the result of an event will be lower than the lowest end of the quote on a spread bet, also known as a "sell".

DOZEN BET: In roulette, to gamble on one or more of three groups of 12 numbers, one-twelve, etc.

EACH WAY BET: A athletic event gamble, meaning to wager on a group or player to succeed or place in a match.

EVEN MONEY BET: A wager that pays the identical amount as gambled, ( one to one ).

EXACTA: laying odds that 2 horses in an event will complete the race in the absolute same order as the bet – also referred to as a " Perfecta ".

FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a wager placed on a block of 5 numbers, such as 1-2-3-0, and 00.
